Our client, a global animation, film, and interactive company that offers film and immersive work for advertising and branded content as well as developing original IP in entertainment and digital products is looking to grow their Los Angeles, California office.
Based in the Arts District, Downtown, the new office is led by Executive Producers who oversee the output across AR, VR, web, apps and live experiences, along with a studio team that consists of production, creative, animators, illustrators, designers, and developers.
The team is looking to add a Creative Director to drive and oversee large-scale design projects, catering to real-time experiences involved in (TV, Phone, i-ware, AR/VR, R&D). You will have an integral role within the team, leading client ideation sessions, developing design documentation, and leveraging the technical knowledge of UX Designers, Visual Designers, and Developers.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Solving complex visual problems and turn them into innovative, beautifully clear solutions
  • Working directly with clients to develop unique and compelling narratives that help them reach their audiences, including (but not limited to) animations, virtual reality experiences, branding, and visual design
  • Leading, motivating and developing the local team, and provide clear and constructive feedback on creative concepts
  • Building a team that you will lead through the creative process, including Visual Designers and UX Designers
  • Generating ideas, creating decks, working with designers, and pitching documents
  • Managing the creative process from inception to launch and translate design objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to present clear and creative ideas with recommendations for decision makers
  • Working interchangeably with the London office  
What you bring:
  • 7+ years of experience in an agency, film, technology, AR/VR environment is required
  • Experience in managing the overall creative and production process
  • Experience with overseeing and juggling a large volume of multi-level creative projects and creative strategy development
  • Experience working with designers on creative proposals that combine big-picture thinking, client needs, and industry best practices for cohesive projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Industry knowledge and suggestions for how to continuously improve communication between development, creative, design and project managers
