Business Development Representative

Brookfield, WI
The Business Development Representative (BDR) generates new business through networking, targeted campaigns, social media, cold calling, and other forms of outreach, utilizing professional networks to develop new partnerships for the Company. The BDR will be part of the Sales Team and qualify inbound leads and schedule prospect meetings for Business Development Leaders. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop and hone expertise in the Company’s offerings to engage prospects in sales conversations
  • Assist Business Development leadership by establishing active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales opportunities
  • Research prospects online using LinkedIn, Google, iSell, Salesforce.com and other resources
  • Cold-calling prospects to develop new business leads
  • Utilize additional communication forums (ex. Email, InMail, etc.) to introduce the Company’s services
  • Qualify prospects on potential fit for services
  • Follow-up on inbound leads, serve as first point of contact, and schedule appointments, as necessary
  • Utilize Salesforce to track and organize prospect details, including documenting conversations and interactions to maintain accurate sales database records and capture market intelligence

 
Experience & Education
  • 2+ years’ recruitment industry experience
  • Proven track record of driving results with a goal-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
  • Demonstrated ability to understand others’ perspectives and build rapport
  • Demonstrated resilience and initiative when encountering obstacles
  • High School diploma (or equivalent), required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Business Administration, Communications, Marketing), preferred
 
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Engagement and Influencing skills, with an understanding of recruitment processes
  • Healthcare, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and/or Technology business sector knowledge and exposure
  • Proactive in increasing own knowledgebase, learning new things, and keeping abreast of latest the Company’s offerings
  • Strong organizational skills
