JOB DESCRIPTION

FIRST is looking for a dynamic IBD Roadshow Coordinator/Co-Team Lead to work on-site at a major financial institution in New York City The ideal candidate would have extensive experience organizing heavy logistics and schedules for corporate management teams in the Financial Industry. This position will assume a management role within our organization and provide high-level service to our clients.

 

ROADSHOW RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile, organize and manage US deal roadshows from origination to completion for the equity and fixed income divisions
  • Manage multiple complex deals at one time
  • Arrange and advise on extensive marketing logistics including investor meetings (physical meetings, group meetings, conference calls, video conferences) and travel (hotel, commercial flights and jet charter, ground transport)
  • Coordinate meeting times and advise on feasibility based upon travel, investor demand, and client availability
  • Coordinate between sales, syndicate, ECM, and IBD to deliver a daily roadshow schedule while advising meeting times based on travel, investor demand, and client availability
  • Updating schedules in the firm’s system and distributing to clients and banking partners
  • Managing expense reconciliations associated with roadshow costs
  • Consistent demonstration of effective time management in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain professional relationships with senior-level management of corporate clients before, during, and after the roadshow

 

TEAM MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be aware of the team’s day-to-day workload and work with the Desk Manager to ensure appropriate assignment/re-assignment of roadshows
  • Oversee the day-to-day training and monitoring of current employees and new joiners within the team as assigned by Team Manager
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through positive, precise, clear verbal and written communications
  • Daily management of team including weekly 1:1 and group meetings. Motivate and keep team spirits high during busy periods
  • Work closely with the Team Manager to maintain a high-performing team and drive the adherence to best practices
  • Be proactive and escalate any issues/concerns with the Team Manager prior to speaking to the client
  • Manage mid-year and annual reviews and set annual goals
  • Ensure the team follows client and FIRST policies (in particular surrounding compliance)

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years experience working on complex Deal Roadshows in the Financial industry
  • 10+ years’ professional experience in Roadshows, events, marketing, and/or communications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Displays strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and lead by example
  • Experience in management and training teams both in planning and execution of Roadshows
  • Ambitious, proactive, and highly organized
  • A calm and flexible approach to handling pressure and stress
  • Willing travel to various locations for site-visits

  • Build excellent relations with the team through positive communications
  • Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work smarter and more efficiently
  • Work on ad hoc requests as required, typically during quiet times
  • Strict and accurate adherence to the company’s time tracking policies and systems
  • Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies while having clean smart surroundings
