The Vice President Commerce COE is a centralized leadership role responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of Commerce related practices and products. This position will drive digital velocity by creating the tools and technology to enable the organization to operate as an augmented sales arm for our current and prospective clients. This individual will define the best practices in the space and create the playbooks for our clients to meet the forces of change in our industry. The Commerce Lead will thrive in the opportunity to blend science, engineering, and product with a strong focus on customer experience to unparalleled solutions in the space and within our practice.
Reporting to: Managing Executive Director, Digital Activation COE
Strategic & Functional Lead
Leverage deep rooted understanding of platforms Google, Amazon, Walmart, Target and tools such as Kenshoo, Criteo, Quotient and to create JBP's agency tools, education, and adoption roadmaps respective to industry best practice
Demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge across digital investment strategy (omni-channel), especially paid media and advertising
Craft specific commerce strategic framework to incorporate into agency’s broader holistic planning process.
Be the agency’s Go-to expert for commerce, retail best practices and thought leadership
Lead product strategy, prioritizing features, building consensus, and coordinating feature releases along with internal and external communication
Possess a performance mindset, understanding how to quantify success for current and prospective clients with varying degrees of business goals
Lead the commerce components of new business opportunities, as well as building organic growth
Guide staffing decisions and scope assessments that impact the overall health of the practice
Build SVP, President and CMO level client relationships to clearly communicate the Hearts & Science value on behalf of the practice
Overseeing new account onboarding to ensure teams are adhering to standards and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and experience in e-commerce ecosystem
5+ years of experience in digital or performance media
Great communication, presentation and client relational skills
