The Digital Analyst manages the strategy, implementation, monitoring and stewardship of approved plans. He/she will work with the digital supervisor to develop strong strategic digital plans that include integrated media partnerships. He/she will work with direct reports to effectively conduct negotiations (rates, added value, positioning, and make-goods) and manage communication with media vendors.

Ability to understand media data sources in terms of what is measured, the method, and information reported
  • Experience with digital media buying is essential
  • Proficiency with Office suite; Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with media tools; MRI, Mendelsohn Ad Relevance, ComScore, Adviews, etc
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Research, planning, negotiation and execution of media plans
  • Gauge media performance to confirm original objectives and strategies were met
  • Work with Internal Research teams to make sure that all elements of success are being utilized (aka Brand Tracking)
  • Monitor media performance to ensure original objectives and strategies are being met, and optimize throughout the course of the campaign
  • Maintain budget control; develop media schedules and monitoring buys/schedules
  • Update Supervisor and client team on status of all ongoing client projects
  • Direct client communication is required
  • Utilize 3rd party research tools to identify desired target audience’s media channels
  • Handle any client requests – i.e., plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information
  • Meet with media sales reps and industry representatives on a regular basis to pursue ideas that are strategically aligned with the client’s business
  • Manage junior team members
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, communications or related field
  • 3 years of experience in the field of media with a focus on digital planning
  • Knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing, and media
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of media - how each media element performs alone, how they perform together, and how they are constantly changing
  • Knowledge of all aspects of Digital Media, including Search, SMS, iTV, Social, Mobile and Tablet
  • Fluency in mathematical concepts. Ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas
