Senior Director Marketing Technology_2021-3230

The Senior Director of Marketing Technology & Consultation is a critical position within our Analytics solar system, responsible for designing data flow concepts for clients. Hearts MarTech Integrator Group partners closely with advertising & mar-tech Co. to educate the agency teams and clients about evolving solutions, identify opportunities, and ensure a healthy and collaborative relationship. MarTech Solution Leads provide consultative and strategic guidance on how to best leverage technologies to outpace competition. Ad Ops team works with the media teams to ensure campaigns launch, lead the tactical audit, implementation and QA of tech. Data Solutions experts provide strategic guidance and implementation of tag management systems and site-side tagging to track digital campaign conversions and analytics. Personalization experts specialize in developing data-driven audience strategies around creative messaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a senior point of knowledge and stewardship for the agency’s point of view on marketing technology products and solutions both proprietary and available in the marketplace.
  • Operate as a consultant for agency leadership in how Marketing Technology can amplify their respective practices
  • Clearly outline and uphold practice standards among the team to ensure a consistent and exemplary output
  • Develop thought leadership pieces & case studies to galvanize the practice within the wider agency and industry
  • Create practice playbooks respective of the Hearts vision for the discipline and overarching agency initiatives
  • Ensure campaign setup and processes are in line with overall platform(s) architecture and lead flow/scoring programs
  • Lead, motivate and grow a team of 10+ individuals across the organization to deliver exemplary service to teams and clients alike

Product Development:

  • Design, implement and maintain the agency marketing technology product roadmap and ensure clear communication and roll out plans to business teams
  • Identify new engagement models that enhance the overall operations and efficacy of work and profitability of the scope
  • Build strong in-roads with key partners to Joint Business Partnerships to extract the most value on behalf of our clients and create custom agency solutions that ultimate elevate client business
  • Ensure standardization of knowledge across all tools and platforms and that the utilization is consistent across the teams
  • Demonstrate capability to build new specialized functions that address client needs and industry evolutions
  • Manage end to end the following areas embedded in the MarTech resposnibilities.
  1. Data Management Tools development (CDP, CMP, DMP, MMP etc)
  2. Data strategy (quality, acquisition, management, commercialization)
  3. Marketing identity management and strategy
  4. Privacy operations (evaluation of partners to meet client marketplace and partnership guidelines)
  5. Clean Room strategy
  6. Technology strategy (martech/adtech integrations, connection into broader client ecosystem, roadmapping)
  7. Implementation of martech/adtech solutions (onboarding, identity, 3P measurement, etc)
  8. Tech licenses & contracts management

Client Service & Growth:

  • Possess a performance mindset, understanding how to quantify success for current and prospective clients with varying degrees of business goals
  • Commercialization of service offerings across broader client ecosystem
  • Guide staffing decisions and scope assessments that impact the overall health of the practice
  • Build SVP, President and CMO level client relationships to clearly communicate the Hearts & Science value on behalf of the practice
  • Overseeing new account onboarding to ensure teams are adhering to standards and best practices
  • Work with technical teams to design solutions that optimally utilize our Martech stack and supports our marketing use cases, strategy, business goals, and vision
  • Lead if not participate in the marketing technology components of new business opportunities

Required Skills:

  • 8 – 10 years of media and technical experience
  • In-depth understanding of the technical operations of media and creative in the social space
  • Unparalleled knowledge of the existing and emerging platforms, technologies and products
  • Outstanding ability to manage and develop a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of stress tolerance
  • Excellent relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in start-up environment with high client demands
  • Strong communicator and presenter, able to present and articulate persuasive and cohesive presentations and points-of-view
  • Trusted advisor to senior client and be seen as a vital part of their team; represent the voice of the client within Hearts & Science
  • Highly analytical and creative mind in strong communication skills with experience in building and managing a team through a use of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to make highly-impactful decisions in a timely manner
  • Flexible & open to new perspectives and better ways of doing things; a good listener

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in a complex client environment, preferably on the agency or tech side
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • Be a proactive self-starter with experience leading large accounts within an agency in an integrated fashion (collaboration, data sharing, co-leading efforts focused on client satisfaction, growth, performance vs KPI’s)
  • Proven ability to stimulate change in the workplace and capability to encourage excitement around adoption
  • Have polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Ensure effective recruiting, on boarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
