Day to Day

The Senior Director of Activation Analytics, reporting to the Head of Marketing Science, plays the lead role in pushing the measurement and optimization practice of Hearts & Science into the future. Specifically, this role is responsible for advancing our measurement strategy and capabilities for working within media ecosystem specific ‘clean rooms,’ driving innovation and scalability. This person will work closely with media activation leads, data science, our clients, and marketing science counterparts to ensure all measurement solutions drive optimal business outcomes for our clients.
  • Work with activation leadership to identify opportunities for Activation Analytics team involvement across key channels (e.g., Programmatic Media, Cross Screen Digital, Search, and Commerce)
  • Develop the data clean room strategy roadmap and across all relevant ecosystems and/or analytics platforms (e.g., Google ADH, Facebook Advanced Analytics, Amazon Marketing Cloud, etc.), overseeing the migration of any new platforms from pilot to to scale across agency client roster
  • Drive clean room adoption and tech enablement across Hearts & Science client roster
  • Manage a growing team of analysts, supervisors, and directors across a variety of clients, providing leadership and mentorship to junior employees
  • Undertake thought leadership initiatives, such as writing whitepapers and articles for industry press outlets, and participate in agency new business pitches

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree is preferred) 
  • 7-10 years of experience, preferably in Marketing Analytics, with a strong focus on paid media
  • Deep experience setting-up privacy safe clean-rooms to provide our clients with audience-level analyses, integrating across a variety of MarTech platforms and identity resolution solutions  
  • Familiarity with database design, data modeling, and ETL process 
  • Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to non-expert audiences  
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines and act with a strong sense of urgency without compromising executional excellence 
  • Knowledge of git workflow a plus
