Our client, a leader in payment solutions, brings cashless payments to the gaming industry. They are growing and they are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to come in and join a small but growing team that is passionate about a forward moving technology that is revolutionizing the gaming and casino industry.

This payment solution is used by millions of patrons and has completed billions of dollars in transactions. They have created the easiest, most secure way to go cashless for casinos, along with non-gaming spend, including online and on-premise slots, mobile gaming, table games, sports betting and the lottery.  

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, building, testing and maintenance of internal software applications. Client leverages current MS best practices, and all source code will be subject to Microsoft/Client code analysis before deployment outside of the development environment. Position will work with internal and external product owners to assist in requirements gathering, development of functional specs, and will be expected to become familiar with the operations and process of internal business groups and become familiar with the technical challenges that come with boarding and certifying new customers.    
 

What you will do: 

  • Duties will include requirements gathering, application design, writing code, testing, and due to a digital transformation, will assist with promotion of new code into production environments
  • Take complete ownership of new software projects throughout every stage of the development life cycle
  • Build up in-depth knowledge of internal data stores and structures
  • Write queries against SQL Server databases for reporting and data retrieval 
  • Use existing object model to minimize turnaround times and promote maintainability of new code
  • Work with inside stakeholders, reporting on the state of work in progress and delivering ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Be flexible to design changes that may become necessary to deliver the best product
  • Work directly with API customers to assist in isolating existing and potential technical issues
  • As needed, act as primary Business Data Analyst for product owners if data is not readily accessible
 

What you bring: 

  • 5+ years of experience with C#, HTML and Javascript
  • Experience with Javascript framework is required, Angular preferred
  • Experience with Angular is must have
  • Hands-on experience with MVC, WCF, JSON, XML 
  • 5+ years of experience using Visual Studio and SQL Server
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred
  • Experience with source code control, GIT is preferred
  • Change management experience
  • Solid customer service skills and orientation 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to spot opportunities for improvement of products and processes 
  • Good judgement when making decisions 
  • Ability to design and build according to best practice, and remain focused on customer’s needs 
  • Must be self motivated and flexible in autonomous and team environments
