THE POSITION

Title: Marketing Investment Analyst

Reports To: Director, Marketing Planning and Delivery

LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV or remote

ROLE PURPOSE

The role holder will manage the marketing budget of approx. $10M/ year. This includes oversight and governance of the itemized marketing budget, forecasting, reconciliation and establishment of a budget management process with the marketing team and with the counterpart in Finance. You will drive improvements in forecast accuracy and marketing spend analysis, as well as provide input into the planning process based on marketing results.

Reporting into the Director, Marketing Planning and Delivery, the Marketing Investment Analyst is an integral part of the team with responsibility for:

  • Management of the day to day, line itemed marketing budget
  • Managing and administering the budget allocation process
  • Managing the marketing budget planning process to ensure timely, consistent, and integrated delivery of marketing plans
  • Working closely with budget owners to reconcile budget to actual in an effort to drive financial responsibility within all levels of the marketing department
  • Representing Marketing investment forecast and actuals in monthly finance calls
  • Partnering with finance to ensure PO system requirements, the marketing accrual process and reporting needs are met
  • Providing insight into the investment strategy, plan execution and Marketing ROI
  • Providing data driven recommendations for process improvements, system enhancements and marketing budget allocation
  • Supporting and training the marketing team on the overall budgeting and planning process
  • Aligning strategic and operational Marketing objectives to planning process and system

The person who fills this role will be a self-starter who is experienced collaborating with multiple team leads and finance.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Education Required/Desired: Bachelor s Degree (Preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing or a related field).Minimum 2 years of marketing finance operations/investment experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Good financial acumen and experienced in working with complex budget allocations, cost forecasting, accruals and actuals reconciliation
  • Experience managing multimillion dollar budgets with different line items and budget owners
  • Highly analytical, numerical and able to spot trends/provide recommendations on how to shift the budget to maximize spend efficacy
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize competing tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-Starter and comfortable in an extremely fast-paced environment
