We are seeking an Account Executive for our client, a remote-first early stage startup based in Austin, TX., to work within the commercial sales department.  The product is a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that developers use to simplify the engineering process, workflows and infrastructure through containerization in an extremely secure cloud environment.  The Account Executive will sell the value proposition with humble confidence - turning prospects into loyal customers. 

What you will do: 
  • Build a pipeline of qualified opportunities based on your professional network and your excellent outbound hunting success
  • Conduct initial contact, prompt follow up and demos while uncovering the customer’s pain points, turning the customer into a qualified client
  • Leverage your technical understanding of product and the SDLC process to understand requirements and project confidence and trust when dealing with the customer’s leadership and decision makers such as DevOps, Engineering, CTO and CIO and CEO

What you bring: 
  • 5+ years experience in SaaS prospecting and sales
  • 3+ years of technical selling experience with $1M+ deals to F500 companies
  • Proven track record of exceeding performance objectives such as revenue and pipeline targets and outbound activity
  • Must have a mix of tech startup and large company experience working on enterprise deals
  • Must be incredibly self-motivated and disciplined 
  • Knowledge of developer tools, CI/CD and the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills
  • Software development experience or a computer science or related engineering degree is a big plus
  • Travel as-needed to customers post covid
