Senior Account Manager
United States (Remote) 

Our client, a B2B content marketing agency, who create and deliver high-performance content experiences for large technology clients such as Cisco, Adobe, and Salesforce is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join their well-established and growing team. If you have creative ideas, can think strategically, and are willing to dig into client problems they want to hear from you! 

This position combines ownership of client satisfaction with accountability for consistent client revenue growth. As many of their clients are B2B technology companies, the account manager must have a deep appreciation of and curiosity about enterprise IT technologies and buying audiences. 

What you'll be doing: 
  • Developing, expanding, and solidifying relationships with clients  
  • Creating, updating, and implementing client account strategy
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of client marketing goals, KPIs, and strategies. Making recommendations for solutions that fulfill and support these goals
  • Collaborating with account and editorial executives, proactively identifying and proposing content solutions to client challenges and program execution
  • Drafting and developing proposals by clearly articulating project goals and objectives, audience, KPIs and success metrics 
  • Developing, tracking, and managing submission of SOWs, POs, and client/project invoices
  • Leading client communication for assigned accounts and engagements
  • Leading and delivering timely communication with clients and across internal teams as required on all projects
  • Managing project schedules and clarifying process and deliverables to internal project team and external client
  • Implementing and optimizing service delivery processes to ensure client needs are met and responsive service is delivered
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of and expertise in content strategy and content marketing best practices
  • Learning and optimizing CRM capabilities to support prospect and account contacts and outreach
What you bring: 
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an account management role 
  • Demonstrated success working with high profile national and/or global brands in a consultative capacity
  • Excellent meeting management skills
  • Prior agency and sales experience 
  • Editorial/journalism experience and/or an understanding of editorial processes and demonstrable experience in digital marketing
  • Knowledge of and experience in B2B technology marketing 
  • Strong management/leadership ability, effective in leading cross-functional, highly matrixed teams
  • Must be detail oriented and able to administer account engagements, while strategic enough to see the big picture and proactively develop effective, innovative solutions
  • Must be able to independently develop proposals, presentations, and final deliverables and effectively deliver them to clients both virtually and in face-to-face meetings
  • Must possess highly evolved communication and presentation skills in order to interact clearly and proactively in all client interactions, including email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
  • Proficiency in creating slide decks and making presentations
  • Proficiency in project management and project scheduling applications
  • Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
  • Experience with enterprise procurement platforms
