Manager, Software Engineering

The role is a working manager position and will be coding and conducting code reviews as well as managing a team of 5. The team of engineers and architects is responsible for building features and services for the core ticketing system as well as payment and other integrated systems and internal and external client facing tools.


What you will do:
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and leadership to your team
  • Grow the team as needed by hiring, promoting and managing engineers and architects 
  • Develop strong relationships to add and grow top engineering talent
  • Collaborate and communicate with leadership, product and other global engineering teams
  • Continue to be hands on in working with code, doing code reviews, and championing the SDLC for the engineering organization
 

What you bring: 
  • 2+ years of technical and management leadership experience, with a minimum of 2 direct reports, managing annual reviews and career development 
  • 5+ years of hands on experience designing and building software platforms
  • Experience coding in .NET or Node.js
  • Experience working with and deploying to cloud environments
  • Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting tools and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills that fosters confidence and support
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
 
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with high traffic and large scale global SaaS and enterprise software platforms is very desirable
  • Ticketing industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Directly manage 4+ engineers at one time
  • Experience with containers, AWS, and Spinnaker
  • Open Source experience is a plus
