Director, Demand Generation

Our client is revolutionizing the way people learn online by giving them the tools they need to turn their expertise into a sustainable business that impacts both them and their audience.

Their Vancouver, Canada team is growing and looking to add a Director, Demand Generation to help scale and optimize the company’s various customer acquisition channels. Additionally, you’ll focus on improving conversion through the entire customer funnel in order to generate and convert leads/free sign ups into paying customers.

What you’ll be doing: 
  • Creating strategic marketing plans/goals, framing targeted experiments, and guiding data-driven marketing execution
  • Managing and supporting marketing teams in efficiently scaling paid acquisition channels, optimizing website conversion, developing and executing campaigns, and optimizing/expanding email nurture funnels
  • Reporting your metrics on a weekly basis, adjusting the team’s work plans accordingly
  • Optimizing conversion rates through the company’s entire marketing funnel, including running and reporting on iterative tests
  • Overseeing and optimizing the company’s marketing database, including improving data cleanliness and integrations while enhancing usability (building segmentations for customers groups/buying stages)
  • Create personalized campaigns and evergreen funnels based on ideal buyers to attract new users based on their needs
  • Working cross-functionally with the Product Marketing, Partnership, Content Marketing, and Customer Success teams
  • Managing and helping mentor other marketing team members to elevate their skills in digital marketing (specifically ads, landing pages, and emails)
What you bring: 
  • 6+ years experience in a digital marketing role, preferably in a B2B/SaaS environment 
  • 2+ years experience leading and managing a marketing team (specifically developing a strong conversion optimization culture)
  • Experience building/optimizing targeted nurturing funnels (using email/marketing automation platforms to nurture customers with timely and relevant content)
  • An expertise in designing, executing and iterating on time-based campaigns as a key driver of growth
  • Solid experience developing and growing digital paid ad channels (specifically Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn Ads)
  • Experience collecting and analyzing performance metrics in order to drive future decisions
  • Excellent ability to utilize storytelling to engage and convert users
  • Proficiency in Javascript, HTML, and CSS, a plus
