DevOps Engineer

Our client, developer of PDF creation, markup, editing, and collaboration software which is used by the world’s top architecture and construction firms, is in search of a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their successful team in Pasadena, CA.  
In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Director of DevOps, working to design and manage the company’s cloud based infrastructure that supports its customer base and internal applications.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, while accounting for reusability, performance, security, and governance
  • Working closely with the engineering team to develop and deliver automated tools for build, deployment and monitoring
  • Driving technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations 
  • Creating processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact
  • Monitoring, analyzing and reporting performance statistics for cloud hosted environments (AWS, Azure)
What you bring:
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with building, deploying, administration and monitoring of SaaS applications and related infrastructures
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Solid understanding of high availability and scaling solutions (CDNs, caching, load balancing, clustering)
  • Demonstrable experience with infrastructure tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Experience scripting with languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, PowerShell DSC, or others)
  • Solid knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL database solutions (MySQL, MSSQL, Casandra, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, or Redis) from an Operations perspective
  • Experience with build systems (Jenkins or Bamboo)
  • Experience with source control systems 
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and APM tools (New Relic, AppDynamics, Nagios, Icinga, SCOM, or SolarWinds)
  • Experience with log aggregation tools (ELK stack, Splunk, or SumoLogic)
